Why training and ongoing training is important
Training usually takes place when the staff starts new roles as part of their induction – but what happens after that – often not much. Unfortunately, business owners see training as an expense rather than an investment. Poor training is an expense and a waste of time, however when training is done well resulting in a change of behavior back on the job, then it’s well worth the investment.
Regular training sessions are the secret to maintaining ongoing performance. Most staff want to do a great job, but over time they fall into bad habits, particularly when they do repetitive tasks, such as serving customers.
This video will explain the reasons why ongoing training is critical for all staff.
