Supermarket wars hot up over smashed avocado

 

Coles and Woolies have been losing market share to Aldi and with another overseas competitor, Kaufland about to start up, things are going to get even tougher. Both Woolies and Coles are looking for every opportunity to take back that market share and Coles are putting their eggs into the smashed avocado basket. Their recent announcement sees them refurbishing 100 stores to offer a much larger range of ready to eat semi prepared meals for the multitude of time-poor customers. Convenience is the key strategy that the big players are hedging their bets on, so expect to see more smashed avo on your local supermarkets’ shelf!
