The Covid pandemic has certainly impacted retailers in particular, with a large number having to close their stores for some weeks. As we start to come out of restrictions, we are just starting to hear of retailers who have been severely hit by the downward spiral in sales. Two major chains in particular have recently announced store closures. DJ’s are closing some of their 48 stores and Target is either closing or converting 167 of their stores to their sister brand Kmart.
